Abstract
This book uses a wide range of survey data including the Czech Household Panel Survey to present an interdisciplinary portrait of Czechs and their society. This book is unique in combing an erotetic methodology with a “concurrent triangulation design” (an influential form of mixed methods research) thereby allowing a comparison to be made between qualitative and quantitative studies of contemporary Czech society. Insights into contemporary Czech society are taken from economics, history, political science, psychology and sociology, thereby allowing this study to offer a broad ranging and rigorous study that contributes to international social science studies of European societies and their evolution.
