Abstract
Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) allows study of lateral distribution of specific elements (Cu, Zn, Pb, Pt) in very low concentration levels (mg/kg) in tumor tissues. Presented work is focused on study of laser ablation parameters (scan speed and laser spot diameter) on lateral resolution and limit of detection of LA-ICP-MS. The utilization of LA-ICP-MS for bioimaging purpose will be demonstrated on mice tumour tissues analysis which are treated by various Pt-based cytostatics (carbo-, oxali- and cis-Pt).
