Case study - 52 years old patient, hospitalised for 16 days at the emergency and resuscitation unit (ERC) for respiratory distress with a transversal spinal lesion at C5/6 and bilateral bronchopneumonia. On admission to ERC, the patient had already undergone a surgical intervention on the spine and was equipped with a fixed neck collar.
