Abstract

Tumory orofaciální oblasti představují významnou část maxilofaciální chirurgie. Léčbou první volby u zhoubných nádorů je radikální resekce s lemem zdravé tkáně, což často vede k rozsáhlému defektu bez možnosti primárního uzávěru. Také léčba velkých benigních nádorů může způsobit podobné defekty. Cílem rekonstrukční chirurgie je obnovení funkce a dosažení uspokojivého kosmetického výsledku. Pomocí primárních nebo sekundárních rekonstrukčních výkonů dokážeme v oblasti hlavy a krku řešit komplexní, často mutilující defekty po resekci. Tento poster prezentuje základní rozdělení rekonstrukčních výkonů a některé z nich demonstruje na kazuistikách. Díky rekonstrukční chirurgii jsme schopni pacienty léčit s lepšími výsledky a také dosáhnout lepší kvality jejich života.

Abstract (in English)

Orofacial tumors represent important part of maxillofacial surgery. The treatment of choice for malignant tumor is the radical resections with margin of uninvolved tissue, which often causes large defect without a possibility of primary closure. Also the surgical treatment of big benign tumors can lead to similar defects. The goal of reconstructive surgery is to reestablish function and provide satisfactory cosmetic results. Primary or secondary reconstruction can restore complex, often mutilating defects in head and neck region after resection. This poster presents the basic division of reconstructive procedures and demonstrates some of them on different case reports. Thanks to reconstructive surgery we are able to treat patients with better outcomes and also better quality of life.
