Abstract
The presented study is focused on the development of hard nanostructured W-B-C thin films in the X-B-C structure. Tungsten was chosen as the studied metallic element as it was calculated that W2BC should exhibit the best mechanical properties of the group with B/G of 1.91 and Cauchy pressure of 71 GPa indicating ductile behavior.
