První část knihy předkládá poslední poznatky o latinském Herbáři pražského mistra Křišťana z Prachatic († 1439), jeho hlavních pramenech a vztahu mezi oběma dochovanými redakcemi. Druhá část knihy se zaměřuje na tzv. druhý život tohoto Herbáře ve staročeské literatuře 15. až 17. století.

The first part of the book describes the most recent findings about the Latin Herbarium by Prague Master Cristannus of Prachatice († 1439), his chief sources and the relationship between both extant redactions. The second part of the book focuses on the so-called second life of this Herbarium in Old Bohemian Literature of the 15th–17th century.
