V originále
In the study we focused on verbal description ability among patients with schizophrenia (SZ) using Vocabulary subtest (a test included in Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale). Clinical observations together with previous studies showed that verbal description ability of words was affected among patients with SZ – they manifest problems with capturing the meaning of words and distinguishing important features from unimportant ones. In our study, we tried to find out the specific way of description in Czech language among patients with SZ. Our sample consisted of 37 subjects who suffered from schizophrenia. Their answers in Vocabulary subtest were transcribed and we conducted a qualitative analysis of the obtained data. We found a specific way in accordance to previous studies in other languages.
