The research sample included twenty novice physical education teachers who graduated Teacher Training in Physical Education from the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University in Brno. A semi-structured interview was chosen as a research tool. A qualitative data analysis shows that teachers suffer from shortcomings in three main areas: formal framework, content of study and human factor during study. The particular examples from each area will be analysed in detail in the part dealing with results and discussion. ER -
