Abstract

V důsledku demografického vývoje dochází ke změnám, které působí na různé aspekty ekonomiky. Z toho důvodu je i cestovní ruch jako multioborová disciplína ovlivňován demografickými trendy. Proměnné jako stárnutí populace, změna hodnot a životního stylu formují poptávku a působí na návštěvnost destinací. V různých regionech tak dochází ke změnám charakteru rozvoje cestovního ruchu i jeho intenzity, což může vyvolávat tlak na udržitelnost destinací. Významným dynamicky se rozvíjejícím zdrojovým trhem se stává Čína a Jižní Korea. Tento poptávkový segment vykazuje v českých destinacích vysoce rostoucí trend. Většina z nich míří do Prahy, jejíž historické centrum již čelí kongesci a dalším negativním dopadům souvisejícím s vysokou koncentrací návštěvníků. Příspěvek se proto s využitím statistických dat zaměřuje na vývojové tendence a spotřebitelské chování návštěvníků z těchto zdrojových zemí, které na základě terénního šetření doplňuje o jejich prostorovou diverzifikaci v centru Prahy. Poukazuje na nezbytnost monitorování demografických změn za účelem identifikace jejich vlivu na udržitelnost a přijetí patřičných opatření.

Abstract (in English)

As a result of demographic development, there are changes affecting different aspects of the economy. Tourism from a multidisciplinary view point is also influenced by these trends. Variables such as population aging, change in values and lifestyles shape tourism demand and affect the travel to destinations. It may put pressure on the destination sustainability. From this point of view, China and South Korea are becoming significant, dynamically developing source markets. This demand segment also shows a highly growing trend in the Czech destinations. The paper focuses on their characteristics and consumer behaviour, incl. the spatial diversification in the centre of Prague based on the field research.
