Abstract
Interstitial lung disease (ILD) includes a broad spectrum of diseases characterized by inflammation and pulmonary fibrosis not only in the lung interstitium but also in pulmonary capillaries, alveolar ducts and bronchioles. This group contains approximately 160 nosologic entities that differ in incidencc and prevalence. The differential diagnosis of ILD Is one of the most complex in pulmonology, potentially leading to underdiagnosing of these conditions. The article deals with epidemiological data on selected Interstitial lung diseases from the Czech Republic and abroad. © 2019 Trios spol. s.r.o.. All rights reserved.
