Anotace

Das historische Wesen des christlichen Humanismus sieht klar aus: eine kulturelle Verbindung der christlichen Glaubenswelt und des klassischen Erbes. Auf diese Art und Weise definiert, gilt der christliche Humanismus als ein Gegenstand der historischen Wissenschaften. Aber nehmen die Subjekte, die diesen Gegenstand wissenschaftlich erkennen, an der Wirklichkeit dieses Gegenstandes teil? Sind die Geschichtsschreiber des christlichen Humanismus auch christliche Humanisten? Und wenn nicht: wer sonst könnte heute noch ein bewusster christlicher Humanist sein? Was bedeutet christlicher Humanismus als ein spezifischer Weg des Seins und Denkens?

The historical essence of Christian humanism is clear: a cultural connection between the Christian faith and the classical heritage. Defined in this way, Christian humanism is considered an object of historical science. But do the subjects who scientifically recognize this object participate in the reality of this object? Are the historians of Christian humanism also Christian humanists? And if not, who else could still be a conscious Christian humanist today? What does Christian Humanism mean as a specific way of being and thinking?
