In this study, the new CE-FA method was created. The in-line approach of the sample mixing directly inside the capillary is based on diffusion and it is generic, robust and rapid. The numerous injection parameters and incubation period were considered and optimized. The method was used to determine the binding parameters of model systems (propranolol/lidocaine BSA) and compared with the classic methods. Based on the statistical evaluation, it was found that the results achieved both approaches are almost identical. In-line sample mixing for the CE FA method has so far not been published and a combination of CE FA approaches gives rise to a fully automated and versatile method for characterizing binding interactions.
