České vědkyně a vědci začali letos zkoumat, zda a jak by mohl v budoucnu trávit volný čas se seniory a seniorkami robot a jestli by je uměl přimět k aktivitě. Testují případné robotovo využití v seniorských centrech i vztah mezi staršími lidmi a humanoidem. Peppera, kterého starší dámy a pánové záhy překřtili na Pepu, experti učí konverzovat o mnoha tématech. Umí už tančit a může předcvičovat. Projekt, na němž spolupracuje tým z Masarykovy univerzity s odborníky Českého vysokého učení technického a s Gerontologickým institutem, potrvá do konce roku 2021.

This year, Czech scientists have begun to investigate whether and how a robot could spend their free time with seniors in the future and whether they could make them active. They test possible robot use in senior centers as well as the relationship between older people and humanoid. Pepper, whom older ladies and gentlemen soon christened on Pepa, experts teach to talk about many topics. He can already dance and can practice. The project, in which the team from Masaryk University cooperates with experts of the Czech Technical University and the Institute of Gerontology, will last until the end of 2021.
