Abstract
The connection between the metallothionein (NIT) content and the presence of tumor was studied by adsorptive transfer stripping technique and differential pulse voltammetry (Brdicka reaction). The average content of NIT in the blood serum of tumour patients was higher than in controls (0.72 +/- 0.09 mu mol dm(-3)). In leukemia and lung cancer, the NIT content was more than five times higher in comparison with control.
