Abstract
This poster will present the preliminary results of a rescue excavation conducted by Via Magna, s.r.o in March–June 2018 in Bratislava-Vajnory/ Ivanka pri Dunaji. The excavation is related to building of a D4 motorway connecting Bratislava-Jarovce – Ivanka nad Dunajom – Bratislava-Rača. The re searched area comprised of more than 65 000 m2, which belongs to one of the largest excavated sites in the modern history of Slovak archaeology. Altogether were documented 1 400 archaeological features, consisting of an extensive Neolithic settlement area, settlement of the Early, Late and Final Bronze Age, Hallstatt and La Tene period as well as a cemetery dated to the Early Middle Ages. The poster will focus on the Neolithic settlement area. Based on the preliminary results of pottery analysis, the complete development of the LBK is represented, starting with Early LBK and ending with Late LBK with Želiezovce group. At least ten house plans were recognised. The site will be evaluated within the context of the LBK development in Bratislava microregion. This work was supported by the Grant Agency of Masaryk University under the contract No. MUNI/A/0839/2019.
