Abstract

El libro tiene nueve capítulos particulares, unidos por un tema en común: la Amazonía. Los capítulos fueron elaborados por equipos interdisciplinarios de autores procedentes de la República Checa y Ecuador. Además están incluidas contribuciones de investigadores, autores y artistas de otros países. En el carácter multicultural de la publicación se debe a la rica variedad de enfoques y acercamientos. Este hecho se refleja en cada uno de los capítulos en los que se tratan temas actuales en el campo de las ciencias sociales y naturales.

Abstract (in Czech)

Kniha obsahuje devět původních kapitol, které spojuje společné téma: oblast Amazonie. Autory kapitol jsou členové interdisciplinárních vědeckých týmů z České republiky a Ekvádoru. Práce je doplněna příspěvky autorů z jiných zemí. Multikulturní charakter této publikace vychází z velmi rozmanitosti přírody a společnosti v Amazonii a také z enormního zájmu o související témata, která přesahují hranice tohoto výjimečného regionu. Tato skutečnost se promítá do každé z kapitol zabývajících se aktuální problematikou v oblasti společenských a přírodních věd. Všechny autory v tvůrčím procesu podněcuje potřeba chránit kulturní a přírodní dědictví jedinečného světa amazonského pralesa.

Abstract (in English)

The book contains nine original chapters, united by a common theme: the Amazon. The chapters were prepared by interdisciplinary teams of authors from the Czech Republic and Ecuador. The work is complemented by the contributions of researchers, authors and artists from other countries. The multicultural character of this publication comes from the very diversity of nature and society in the Amazon, as well as from the enormous interest in related topics that go beyond the limits of this vast region. This fact is reflected in each of the chapters dealing with current issues in the field of social and natural sciences. The reasons why articles have been produced are born from the need to protect the cultural and natural heritage, hidden in the spectacular world of the Amazon jungle.
