Abstract

Výstava fotografií z cest pracovníků a studentů Ústavu religionistiky FF MU po Indii mezi léty 2003 a 2019 poukazuje na specifika smyslového prožívání rituálů v indických tradicích v kontrastu se zažitými západními představami. Fotografie zdůrazňují každodenní, tělesnou stránku prožívání různých tradic, které se setkávají v ohromném prostoru indického subkontinentu.

Abstract (in English)

The exhibition of photographs from the expeditions of the staff and students of the Department for the Study of Religions (Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University) in India between 2003 and 2019 highlights the specifics of the sensory perceptions of rituals in Indian traditions in contrast to the Western common beliefs and imaginations. The photographs emphasize the everyday bodily experience of different practices that meet in the vast space of the Indian subcontinent.
