The presentation deals with established and solid consumer protection framework over the years, which has recently been strengthened by several legislative initiatives that will benefit EU consumers in the coming years. One of the most important topics are empowering consumers and ensuring better protection. The paper was presented at a workshop organized by prof. Christian Twigg-Flesner and prof. Hans-Wolfgang Micklitz. The workshop was attended by 18 consumer law experts from most EU Member States.

Příspěvek se zabývá ochranou spotřebitele - vývojem v ČR a jeho možnou budoucností v kontextu změn ve společnosti. Příspěvek byl prezentován na workshopu pořádaném prof. Christian Twigg-Flesner and prof. Hans-Wolfgang Micklitz. Workshopu se účastnilo 18 expertů na spotřebitelské právo z většiny členských států EU.
