Abstract

Kniha přináší komplexní rozbor slabikování češtiny. Podává co nejaktuálnější a nejpodrobnější přehled poznatků o slabice, její podstatě, roli a postavení v jazyce, jednak obdobným způsobem pojednává o problematice slabikování. Autoři nabízejí vlastní pohled na určení slabičné hranice, jenž je sice aplikován na češtinu, ale díky jeho obecnosti ho lze užít i v dalších jazycích.

Abstract (in English)

The book presents a complex analysis of the syllabification of Czech. It offers, first, a most current and detailed overview of our knowledge about the syllable, its nature, role and place in language, and second, a similar account of the problem of syllabification. The authors build up their own method of the determination of syllable boundaries, which though applied to Czech could be used in other languages.
