The molecular structure of 1 resembles the D6R building units found in aluminophosphates. The central core of the Al6O18P6 polyhedron can be described as a cylindrical drum. By tailoring the alkyl groups on aluminum and phosphorus, it is possible to generate bigger building units of aluminophosphate molecular sieves. ER -
