Although the commonly used dielectric layers such as Al2O3 (Alumina) were sufficient, the barrier layer materials have become a subject of extensive research in the last years in order to enhance the discharge properties. The dielectric layer properties could have a significant impact on plasma parameters, e.g. ignition voltage [1], because it is in direct contact with a dielectric layer. ER -
