Abstract

Tato kniha je věnována tématu etnických konfliktů moderní doby. Podává přehled teorií nacionalismu a moderního národa z období posledních dvou desetiletí. Dále se věnuje politickým aspektům konfliktů centrum versus periferie, genezi subnacionalistických a etnicko-regionálních hnutí a historickým předpokladům současného nacionalismu v postkomunistických zemích.

Abstract (in English)

This book deals with contemporary ethnic conflicts. It reviews theories of Nation-State and nationalism in the context of the two recent decades. An attention is paid to political aspects of core versus periphery conflicts, to issues of evolution and impact of sub-nationalist and ethno-regionalist movements as well as of nationalist phenomena in the present day post-communist countries.
