Anotace
V originále
From the 13th century Czech lands, references or detailed information on more than 200 disputes are preserved, in which the Church was at least one of the disputant parties. Although according to the Canon law the Church was allowed to settle its disputes before an ecclesiastical court or, in certain cases, also before a secular court, in the 13th century we observe a marked tendency to settle disputes through elected conciliators – arbiters. In connection to this, a new type of charters emerged in that time, namely so called compromissa and arbitration charters. The paper focus on both types of mentioned charters, with the question of how their existence, form and content testify to the arbitration practice of the 13th century in the ecclesiastical environment
