These commentaries shed light on both the potential and the limitations of VR-based cognitive interventions in stroke rehabilitation. Our editorial aims to synthesize these discussions and comment on balancing the complicated and diversified nature of VR that simulates real-world/imaginary environments and the expectations from researchers regarding standardization and highlighting the potential of VR in improving cognitive performance among stroke patients.
