Abstract

This book presents a theoretical study of the concept of collaboration during the Second World War, conceived as a social behaviour and action within specific conditions of military occupation. It is based on the theories of social behaviour and action developed by Max Weber and the theory of action of Pierre Bourdieu. The books seeks to elucidate the concept of collaboration, the conditions that give rise to this phenomenon, place it within the broader context of cooperation under occupation. Through typological analysis, it provides a comprehensive assessment of various forms of collaboration, considering the motivations of the actors involved. Theoretical types of collaboration, as idealized constructions, will facilitate a deeper understanding of the motivations behind the social behaviour and action of concrete collaborating individuals.

Abstract (in Czech)

Tato kniha představuje teoretickou studii zabývající se pojmem kolaborace během druhé světové války, pojímaného jako sociální chování a jednání ve specifických podmínkách vojenské okupace. Je založena na teorii sociálního chování a jednání Maxe Webera a teorii jednání Pierra Bourdieua. Kniha se snaží objasnit pojem kolaborace, podmínky, které daly vzniknout tomuto jevu, a také jej zasadit do širšího kontextu kolaborace za okupace. Prostřednictvím typologické analýzy poskytuje komplexní hodnocení různých forem kolaborace s ohledem na motivace zúčastněných aktérů. Teoretické typy kolaborace pojímané jako ideální typy umožní hlubší pochopení motivací stojících za sociálním chováním a jednáním konkrétních kolaborujících jedinců.
