Abstract

V češtině tak jako v jiných živých jazycích existují variety užívané v různých sférách komunikace. Standardní varieta náleží veřejné komunikaci, substadardní se v ní objevují jen náhodně nebo se zvláštní funkcí. I soukromé komunikaci naopak dominují variety substandardní. Výběr mezi variantami výrazových prostedků v rámci spisovné češtiny probíhá na rovin neutrální v opozici k příznakovým. Pro celek textu je přitom důležitá u veřejné komunikace homogennost prostředků. Zodpovědný tvůrce veřejného komunikátu se při přípravě textu nemá spoléhat na vlastní povědomí, ale využít i stávajících kodifikačních materiálů.

Abstract (in English)

In Czech, as well as in other living languages, there are varieties used in different spheres of communication. The standard forms are necessary for cultivated public communication, the elements of substandard varieties appear in less formal texts; in private communication, substandard varieties are used more or less as a rule. As can be seen, in present-day Czech there exists a choice of the means of expression according to the requirements of the specific type of communication. Even within Standard Czech there sometimes are two or more forms of one word. Most of the forms are neutral; the formal forms should be used especially in formal communication, the informal forms in informal communication. The homogeneity of means of expression used in a text is very important either neutral or formal, informal etc. means of expression can be used, but not mingled together (unless it serves a specific purpose). Since the means of expression vary a lot, the speakers should not rely only upon their own usage being in doubt, they should consult grammars, dictionaries and other authoritative works on language.
