Abstract
Multiple haematomas and brain contusion were found in 56%, solitary once in 44%. Out of 25 patients considered, the immediate postoperative improvement of the neurological status was found in 64%, no change in 20%, deterioration in 8% and death in 8%. Based on the achieved results we believe that stereotactic evacuation (STE) is an alternative method which reduces an operative trauma associated with craniotomy.
