Příspěvek stručně přibližuje vznik a vývoj relativně nového fenoménu v evropském kontextu - dětská muzea. Ukazuje jejich typické rysy - hands-on aktivity, interaktivní orientaci a podíl dětských muzeí na naplňování dětských práv.

This paper deals with a relative new phenomen in European context - with the children's museum. Futher there are characterized typical features of children's museums, above all handes-on activities, interactive processes and their significant share on respecting children's rights.
