Abstract
Cytokiny hrají důležitou úlohu v CNS v modulaci dopaminergního, serotoninergního, noradrenergního a cholinergního systému.
Abstract (in English)
Cytokines play the important role in the CNS in the modulations of dopaminergic, serotonergic, noradrenergic and cholinergic systems. From this point of view, the gene for IL-6 is a possible candidate gene of the dispositions to the alcohol dependence. We investigated the relationship between the G/C -174 polymorphism of the IL-6 gene and alcohol dependence in 121 alcoholics and 84 control subjects. No significant difference in allele frequencies between alcoholic group and control group was found for this polymorphic site.
