Abstract
Spatial heterogeneity of variable chlorophyll fluorescence over thalli of Hypogymnia physodes, Lasallia pustulata, and Umbilicaria hirsuta were studied using chlorophyll fluorescence imagig technique. Distribution of maximum (Fp) fluorescence was species-specific: maximal values were found at thallus margins (H. physodes), center (L. pustulata), and irregular patches (U. hirsuta. Fp decreased with thallus dehydration.
