Abstract
FISH imaging consists of two main steps: acquisition and analysis. The success of the analysis step strongly depends on the quality of acquired images. Therefore, image quality issue is addressed first. Then, processing and analysis of FISH images is discussed. A special section is devoted to the automation of FISH imaging. Finally, the power of FISH imaging is demonstrated on the examples of applications.
