The dimensionality of the formed system can be controlled by a suitable choice of N-donor ligands coordinated to the cationic central atom (brick).The linking of the complex cations is made possible by the cyanocomplex anions (mortar). In search for new low-dimensional systems we have used the multi-N donor ligands dien (dien=N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,2-etylenediamine)and aepn (aepn=N-(2-aminoethyl)- 1,3-propanediamine). Several new tetracyanonickellate compounds were prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction,and the resulting materials include oligonuclear and low-dimensional structures. ER -
