Abstract
V originále
Bacterial strain J7 was isolated from soil. This bacterium is capable to degrade nitroaromatic compounds. The strain J7 is Gram positive, strict aerobic bacterium, who exhibit a typical irregular rod-coccus cycle with fragmentation. The strain J7 formed opaque, slightly convex, creamy colonies. The bacterium was isolated by selectively enrichment with 4-nitroguaiacol in mineral SBM medium. The optimum for growth and degradation of the strain activity is 28 stupňů Celsia. The strain J7 was identified as a member of the genus Rhodococcus on the basis of morfology, physiology, biochemical characterisation, whole cell fatty acid composition. and determination of partial sequence of genes for 16S rRNA. We suppose, that the strain J7 belongs to Rhodococcus opacus or Rhodococcus percolatus on the base of identity of 16S rRNA sequence. Degradation was tested for these nitroaromatic compounds: 4-nitrocatechol, 4-nitroguaiacol, 5-nitroguaiacol, 2-nitrophenol, 3-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrobenzoic acid, 4,5-dimethoxy-2-nitrobenzoic acid and 2,3-diphluoro-6-nitrophenol.
