Abstract
Expected accession of Czech republic into EU gives a new stimulus to activities that are leading to incorporation of firms, particularly to mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Liberalization of energetics, transport, telecommunication and postal services will obviously accelerate many of transactions related to privatization. These are causing enhanced activity in field of M&A. There is typical lower price of capital, lower level of market liberalization and lower legal transparency in the Czech republic and other countries of Middle Europe. These and other possible obstacles can stop European middle size enterprises from entering the Central European market. As consequence of current trends there is expected accumulation of interest for investments flowing in the Czech republic, especially from side of mentioned European middle size enterprises. At the same time there can be expected acceleration of expansion speed of already established foreign investors in Czech region (in relation to portfolio rationalization). It will get to transactions in the Czech republic, which will be based on restructuring of large manufacturing enterprises. The working paper is aimed at intensive changes which have been proceeded in field of legal transparency of merging businesses in relation to economic definition of mentioned operations.
