This contribution deals with the system for processing, archiving and transmitting medical picture (both static and dynamic) data in real time, including archived data. The pictures in guestion stem from various medical instruments, socalled modalities: radiography, magnetic resonance, computer tomography, ultrasound, microscope cameras, etc. with the accent on picture from endoscopic cameras.
