Článek podává stručný výklad pojmu rizika, přehled metod jeho výpočtu v epidemiologii a poukazuje na přínos a úskalí jeho interpretace.

The paper deals with the definition of "risk" in epidemiology. The methods for calculation of a attributable risk are briefly described and the most common issues in interpreting the results of an epidemiological study are discussed.
