Abstract
Diplozoids are monogenean parasites living on the gills mainly cyprinid fish. There is still very limited knowledge concerning abnormally developed specimen of diplozoids. In the present study, all recorded abnormalities of attachment apparatus were categorised into seven types. More then 21% of parasites (Paradiplozoon homoion, a gill parasite of Gobio gobio) from four localities (Vlara River)had abnoramlities of attachment apparatus.
