Abstract

Studie naznačuje možnosti využití Korpusu soukromé korespondence (vznikajícího na Filozofické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity) jako referenčního zdroje pro poznání současné oscilace mezi spisovnou a nespisovnou češtinou a pro studium teritoriálně podmíněných jazykových diferencí. Ukazuje mj., jak mohou korespondenční texty přispět ke sledování územního a funkčního šíření obecné češtiny.

Abstract (in English)

At the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno, a corpus of informal correspondence is created as a subcorpus of the Czech National Corpus. The present contribution informs about the method used when building the subcorpus and presents severals ways of using it. It pays attention to advantages of epistolary texts as a source that can be used for investigating the usage in language. It applies especially to their authenticity and spontaneity, to their borderline position between features of spoken ad written texts which gives the possibility to eplore interesting relationships between the standard an the substandard and to the rich variety of territorial markedness providing the opportunity to investigate the features of language that differ according to various territories.
