Abstract

In moral psychology the concept of responsibility is important especially in the theory of Gilligan, who starts important controversy in the question of dependence of moral development on context. But only very few theories are interested in a real moral action, perception of own responsible or irresponsible action and relationship between perceived responsibility in action and life values. A research sample consisted of 213 adolescents (108 girls, 105 boys) aged 14-19 years from four different secondary schools in Bohemia and Moravia. Participants were asked to describe their own good and bad behaviour in a questionnaire: Name at least three situations in which you did something a) good, b) bad. We also used a pair comparison of ten life values for assessment of value structure (Macek, according Osecka, 1991) We found out that there are different kinds of responsibility perceived in own moral action. Participants either referred to the object of responsibility or they mentioned an internal rule according to which they interpret their action. Structure of life values of girls and boys is almost similar; there are differences between girls and boys in the effect of life values on perceived good and bad action.

Abstract (in Czech)

Pojem odpovědnosti je v psychologii morálky klíčový zejména v teorii Gilliganové, která nastolila důležitou polemiku v otázce závislosti morálního vývoje na kontextu. Nicméně jen velmi málo teorií se zabývá morálním jednáním v reálných podmínkách, percepcí vlastního odpovědného a neodpovědného jednání a vztahem mezi vnímanou odpovědností v jednání a životními hodnotami. Výzkumný soubor obsahoval 213 dospívajících (108 dívek, 105 chlapců) ve věku 14-19 let ze čtyř odlišných středních škol v Čechách a na Moravě. Respondenti byli požádani, aby popsali své vlastní dobré a špatné jednání v dotazníku: uveďte nejmén tři situace, ve kterých jste udělali něco a) dobrého, b) špatného. Také jsme použili párové srovnání deseti životních hodnot pro posouzení struktury hodnotové orientace (Macek, podle Osecka, 1991). Zjistili jsme, že existují různé druhy, pozice odpovědnosti vnímané ve vlastním morálním jednání. Respondetni se buď vztahovali k objektu odpovědnosti anebo zmiňovali vnitřní pravidlo, podle kterého posuzovali své jednání. Struktura životních hodnot dívek a chlapců byla velmi podobná; nalezli jsme rozdíly mezi dívkami a chlapci ve vlivu životních hodnot na vnímané dobré a špatné jednání.
