Abstract

L'autoréflexivité du texte littéraire est devenue l'une des notions clés pour la critique littéraire de la seconde moitié du XXe siecle. Or elle semble caractériser également des textes qui constituent la modernité de la littérature romanesque dont l'origine remonte jusqu'a Cervantes, Diderot ou Sterne. La longue tradition de l'autoréflexivité de l'antiroman semble avoir affecté aussi la littérature romanesque qui surgit comme une réponse postmoderne a l'écriture des prédécesseurs modernistes. Jean Echenoz est l'un des auteurs qui ont renoué avec cette tradition d'autoréflexivité textuelle, bien que son attitude vis-a-vis de cette écriture soit bien spécifique. Une réaction aux procédés autoréflexifs ou métatextuels se laisse déceler dans cette oeuvre. La présente étude tente de dévoiler, du moins en partie, le fonctionnement de cette machine autotextuelle.

Sebereflexivnost literárního textu se stala jedním z klíčových pojmů francouzské literární kritiky druhé poloviny 20. století. Zdá se však, že se částečně podílí i na definici modernity románu, jejíž počátky sahají až k Cervantesovi, Diderotovi či Sternovi. Dlouhá tradice sebereflexivnosti typická pro moderní antiromán nezanechala beze stop ani románovou literaturu, která se jeví jako postmoderní odpověď na výzvu modernistů. Jean Echenoz je jedním z autorů, kteří na tuto textově narcisistickou tradici navázali, avšak jeho postoj k ní je zjevně specifický. Jeho romány evidentně reagují na tyto metatextové a autoreprezentativní postupy. Studie se pokouší objasnit, alespoň částečně, ono specifické fungování tohoto autotextového stroje.

Abstract (in English)

The self reflexivity of a literary text has become a key notion for the literary criticism of the second part of the 20th century. In addition it seems to characterise texts which constitute the modernity of the novelistic literature whose origins can be traced up to Cervantes, Diderot or Sterne. The long tradition of the self reflexivity of the anti-novel seems to have affected the novelistic literature which arises as a post-modern response to the writing of the modernist predecessors. Jean Echenoz is one of the authors who make a link with the tradition of the textual self reflexivity, though his attitude towards this writing is highly specific. In his work a reaction to the self reflexive or metatextual processes can be discovered. The study in question seeks to reveal, at least in part, the mechanism of this self reflexive machine.
