Anotace

V originále

Prolongation of the QT interval is of concern since the pacients may be at risk for TdP, a serious ventricular arrythmia. In hospitalised psychiatric patients a 12-lead ECG was recorded, the QT interval was measured manually, the Bazett formula was used for correction. The total number of 375 ECG records was obtained. In 11 of 375 records(i.e.2,9%) the borderline or pathologics valuesof QT interval were found. The occurrence of abnormal QTc was lower than in so-far avilable literature. This could be connected with the change of spectrum of antipsychotics used, the general trend to lower doses of antipsychotics.
