Magnetic field was generated by the cylindrical coil (Bm =< 10mT, duration of exposure t=6 min, f=50 Hz). We tried to estimate the threshold value of the magnetic induction causing statistically significant biological effect. This value is about 0.7 mT. The dependence of the number of colony forming units (CFU) on the frequency showed the decrease of viability for all used frequencies (5-20 000 Hz). We tried to combine effect of magnetic field and UV irradiation. The ultraviolet rays kills bacteria in short time damaging their DNA. We found that magnetic field effect and UV effect are cumulative and additive. The targets of UV rays and magnetic fields in biological objects are probably different, so we can assume that magnetic field probably does not affects DNA of bacteria. ER -
