Abstract
Physical, social and environmental destabilization as a consequence of deindustrialization, suburbanization and demographic change is typical of old industrial centres in the European Union and in other affiliated countries. Reurbanization is understood as a complex social integrated strategy directed to the development of housing and living conditions in inner cities, particularly in the historical housing districts. Natural condition is very important factor of quality and attractiveness of habitation. Improvement of environment quality at the inner cities means reduction of suburbanization and can improve the living conditions in the city, which is in accordance with the principles of sustainable urban development one of the main goals of the EU policy.
