Anotace

V originále

This master thesis describes the nature, design and proof-of-concept imple- mentation prototypes of GSIP, which is a protocol and architecture for Web Services invocation. The work is divided into four parts: the first part de- scribes the Service Oriented Architecture approach to creating applications and the Web Services architecture itself. It also shows some potential and real drawbacks of Web Services Technology. The second part describes the GSIP architecture and how it addresses drawbacks shown in the first part. The third part describes the implementation of GSIP stack, particularly the two existing prototypes (Gondor and Angmar). The fourth part consists of appendices.
