Abstract
This paper considers the late Guy Davenport's collection of stories 'The Jules Verne Steam Balloon' and how these display many of the same textual techniques and contain many of the same themes as the pederastic writings of the Victorian and Edwardian Uranians, suggesting that that literary tradition did not end in the 1930s, but continues even today.
