Nowadays, rather various chemical forms of elements in the environment are in the focus of enironmental chemists than simple total elemental concentration. For this purpose, atomic spectrometriy techniques (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS) are coupled to various speration techniques (HPLC, GC, CZE)and serve as a powerful tool for speciation analysis. Overview of present state is given and examples of hyphenated techniques and their applications are discussed. ER -
