Abstract
The study deal with the issue of the beginnings of acculturation of Hinduism in the Czech Society. It analyses how the inspirations form Indian religions were utilised in the work of František Čupr and in the context of constructing Czech nation, further it analyses how the tradition which started with Čupr was further developed in the Czech branch of Theosophical Society and in the Czech School of Christian Mysticism of Karel Weinfurter.
