L'article tente de resumer les reflexions theoriques sur le mythe et le rapport entre le mythe et le roman dans le contexte français des annees 1960-1980 dans le but de degager les raisons empechant l'acceptation du terme de "roman mythologique" malgre une production litteraire importante du genre.

Článek shrnuje teoretické koncepce mýtu a románu ve Francii 60.-80. let s cílem poukázat na teoretické překážky zabraňující přijetí označení "mytologický román", a to navzdory bohaté románové produkci s tímto zaměřením.

The paper tries to sum up theories and reflexions concerning myth and novel in France between 1960 and 1980. The purpose is to reveal some facts inhibiting the acceptance of the term "mythological novel" despite of abundant literary production.
