Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá přehledem a vzájemným srovnáním stávajících standardů pro metadata. Důraz je kladen na standard ISO 19115, který byl současně přijat za normu ČSN v oblasti metadat. Navíc současné aktivity EU v oblasti prostorové infrastruktury (INSPIRE) počítají s touto normou jako jedinou pro popis prostorových dat. Součástí hodnocení je také možnost rozšíření tohoto standardu pro účely konkrétních aplikací. Souvisejícím krokem je analýza hlavních platforem, které se v České republice využívají. Zkoumány byly platformy Bentley, ESRI, Intergraph a vybraná Open Source řešení. Na základě analýz těchto platforem je třeba nastínit způsob jejich vzájemné integrace. Příspěvek je součástí projektu T206030407 Management geografických informací a znalostí, který náleží do projektu Akademie věd České republiky Informační společnost, tématického programu "II. Národní program výzkumu - TP2.". Jeho řešiteli jsou Výzkumný ústav geodetický, topografický a katastrální (VÚGTK), HELP SERVICE - REMOTE SENSING spol. s r.o. a Laboratoř geoinformatiky a kartografie Masarykovy univerzity.

Abstract (in English)

Spatial data are usually distributed over several existing systems (geographical information systems, database management systems or file systems). There has been a lot of work related to metadata integration till now. However, we can find only a few examples of appropriate metadata integration in present GI platforms. Thus, related step and main focus of this research is to analyze the main GI platforms that are used across the world. The following platforms were analyzed: Bentley, ESRI, Intergraph, MICKA and some Open Source solutions (GeoNetwork and METIS). First of all, we have to analyze all supported standards (including their versions, exchange formats, etc.) in the analyzed GI platform. Afterwards, there has to be an analysis of main characteristics of platform (i.e. software, data structure, import and export of metadata, editing, querying, supported catalogue service, system control, users control, language support, portrayal and future work on this GI platform). Finally, it is necessary to define a way how to integrate metadata independently on the GI platform. This research has been supported by funding from project No. T206030407 called Management of geographic information and knowledge.
