Abstract

The paper deals with the question how and in what manners the contemporary EU law and institutions operate in the system of national minority protection. It examines in greater details the concept of minority (the relation between the identity and identification of minority) in the conditions of multi-level governance and attempts to predict the options of the further development in this area.

Příspěvek se zabývá systémem menšinové ochrany uvnitř EU. Detailněji zkoumá koncepci národnostní menšiny v Evropě (zejména vztah mezi identitou a identifikací příslušníků menšin) a snaží se hledat další možnosti vývoje této oblasti.
